1 make sure you have ant and python 2 cd to the CIPRES_dev directory 3 sh makeCIPRES.sh 4 email bugs to mholder@csit.fsu.edu Consult http://cipres.sdsc.edu/twiki/bin/viewauth/Cipresdev/BuildCipresPyScript for a full description of this build system If everything works, then CIPRES-0.0.1/cipres/ will be the top of your CIPRES distribution At this point you should be ready for the running CIPRES application. A full description of the procedure is at http://cipres.sdsc.edu/twiki/bin/viewauth/Cipresdev/BuildCipresApplication Briefly, here is the procedure: If you do not have a ~/.cipres directory containing the cipres_registry.xml and other files, then go to the top of CIPRES and run the command: ant configure After your machine is configured you can go to the top of CIPRES and run: ant runRegistry to launch the registry application. You will have to do this everytime you run CIPRES if (and only if) your ~/cipres/cipres_config.properties file has cipres.application.use_colocated_registry set to 0. To launch the app, go to the top of CIPRES and type: ant run If your ~/.cipres/cipres_registry.xml file has commandline invocations of xterm, then you will need to be running an XWindows system before launching rec-i-dcm.
